This is a preview of a short story that I am writing.

Dear dad,

You have been jail for a long time almost half of my life. I don’t know if you even care about me or even want to hear from me. But I am now twenty-five years old if you didn’t know and I am married to my wife named Jane and yes I said wife. I met her 4 years ago when I was twenty-one and we’ve been very happy since. She’s the girl of my dreams. I know that you might not be happy with my decision that I made. You were never there for me that’s another reason why I’m writing you this letter. I have no mom or dad, mom left when I was nineteen. She started doing drugs seven years after you left. Luckily I was already twelve and I knew right from wrong and I knew what I was doing. Not saying I knew everything about life but I knew better. To be honest I don’t know how I got here I was always alone since I was twelve. Mom disappeared one afternoon when I came home from work. I didn’t know where she was I went looking for her and asking neighbors. People seen her walking but never seen her come back. I moved from that filthy house we were living in I had already graduated high school and was working. I figured I could get a little apartment for me. We were living off mom’s pimp back then and once she left he tried to do things to me so I left for weeks. When I came back no one was there so I took advantage and lived there so I can save money. I finally got approved for an apartment in Queens I went and bought furniture and everything I needed. I was finally on my feet and happy that I did it on my own. By the time I moved into my apartment I was twenty and started college. I was going to college for law and man I’ll tell you now it is not easy at all. I got a new job working for the police until I finish my years of college. Everything was going really well for me. I met my wife in college she was going to college to be a forensic blood spatter analyst. A year later she moved in with me and we were very happy. Her family met me and accepted me for who I was always there for me since I never had a family. On our anniversary we took a trip to Mexico and she ask me to marry her.
who am I without him?

I really liked reading this book. It was a lot of nice and interesting stories that caught my attention. My favorite story in that book was wanted: A Thug and A letter to my daughter. I would recommend it to people who like romance short stories or people who like teen books.

Because this morning it was dark and foggy

I had to stay in the house.

Watching all the movies I have,

And eating up all the food.

                Went outside

And the trees were blowing so fast.

And because yesterday there was a hurricane

                It was a mess outside,

                Trees every where

                Garbage cans laying around.

                Sadness comes to mind

I hate to see my town like this.

And because it was so bad outside

I turned off all the lights.

                And laid on the coach

                And fell asleep.

                And because I woke up

                And looked outside

                My mood changed

                When the sun arrived.

Obsession

Obsession is a 5’7”man with short brown hair. Obsession won’t go away. He keeps coming back, and I just want him to go away.  He’s not afraid of me calling the cops. He just wants me. Obsession follows me home and doesn’t want me with anyone. He makes sure that no one comes to my house, and he follows me everywhere I go. He doesn’t want me with anyone besides him. I don’t love him, but he loves me. Obsession has pictures of me everywhere in a secret room that he has. He says that he doesn’t want to hurt me, but if I tell anyone he will. Obsession is lonely and wants attention. I have tried as much as I can to give him that as a friend. He got too attached and wanted way more than being just a friend. I had to cut him loose after a while because he’s gotten too crazy.

                                                            Change

Change is the girl who fell in love with a boy who adjusted her to his new ways. Change stays around because she loves him, but she’s changed everything for this one boy. She wants to prove that she can give him what he wants even though she doesn’t want to. Change talks differently, dresses differently, and goes above and beyond to prove that she’s “mature” enough for this boy. Change keeps letting this boy walk in and out of her life whenever he wants. Change lets this boy use and abuse her, but she wants to be with him so she doesn’t mind. Her friends and family always tell her to stop talking to him. Change lets this boy manipulate her mind.

                                                                                In the park

When I was 5 years old I used to get abused
And would hide in the closet the whole day.
The night I got it hit with a bottle
I could stop thinking about running away.

I called the cops,
But they never showed.
I heard my parents fighting again
And packed my bags,

Jumped out a window.
A lady was there staring,
Asking if I was okay.
I replied yes.

I heard a bang from my window.
I took a glance at the lady and ran,
Slept at a park for the night,
Hearing the sound of my stomach rumble.

As I came across this lady
she told me that I’m not in this world alone.
Come with me child.
I’ll help you, she said.
